Seriously. Any changes this bunch does should give the people and governance of Ft Bragg pause. Reading the article we're seeing increased resources for development infrastructure and increased freight handling to start. Sounds great till you imagine our beautiful Noyo Headlands covered with expensive housing and freight train traffic right in the middle of town. Affordable housing? What a joke. We all know what happened with the Glass Beach development. Million $ Housing, anyone?
yes, there were supposed to build apartments at Glass Beach and still could. Why dont they? Glass Beach subdivision turned out to be moderate in price and I know a few people from here who retired and lived there till they passed away, so it wasnt just for profiteers and continues to be mostly lived in.
Have you walked through it recently? I see quite a few, what must be, second unoccupied vacation type homes. Checked the real estate listings? Many want close to or more than a million. The land the Skunk was, unfortunately, able to pick up for a dime has so much potential but I fear greedy developers will change our Headlands forever.
You were one month late on this. Not like Mendocinocoast.news. We were one month PLUS the time it took to read your story!! LOL Good grief! Im glad you found it and wrote it., It was "reported" otherwise in press releases only and you did go into some depth but we still dont know if it means money comining in for the tunnel or not!
Great nugget of news.
You should feel very proud of being 1st to uncover and publish this news.
Congratulations Elise!!
