California Voters Approve New Congressional Districts
Early voting results in Mendocino County mirror state results
California voters today approved a ballot measure that redraws state Congressional districts until after the 2030 census.
The Associated Press called the election soon after the polls closed at 8 p.m. According to the AP, early returns favored the measure decisively, as did preliminary results from the AP Voter Poll, an expansive survey of more than 4,000 voters in California.
CalMatters reported the measure captured 65 percent of early returns.
In Mendocino County, the measure lead with 65 percent of early returns, mirroring state results. As of 8:11 p.m. 19,828 ballots had been counted, or roughly 37 percent of all registered voters.
