Thank you AG Bonta and the Coastal Commission for resisting this upside down ruling. 25 years of not carrying freight and you're still considered a freight carrying railroad?!? It defies all logic.

Its wrong and alarming, that self-serving laws written by railroads in the 1800s to give themselves the right to exploit the country for profit, should be used in the 21st century to give railroads special exemptions from the same environmental laws and regulations that every other business has to comply with. Meanwhile, we are told by the railroad that the public has no reason to be concerned because the federal government is doing such a good job regulating railroads. Tell that to the people that died in the East Palestine, Ohio’s railroad derailment disaster where rail cars exploded and burned releasing thousands of gallons of toxic chemicals that destroyed the entire community..
