Pedestrian Injured in Fort Bragg Collision on Tuesday
Passersby are worried for the welfare of the victim

A pedestrian was injured in a traffic collision June 30 around 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the intersection of Chestnut and S. Franklin streets, according to the Fort Bragg Police Department.
One of the witnesses who reached out to MendoLocal.News said the injured person was a man in black and that he was not moving after the accident.
Police said the incident remains under investigation as a traffic collision and is not being investigated as a hit-and-run. Officers contacted and interviewed the driver of the involved vehicle at the scene.
The pedestrian was transported to Adventist Health Mendocino Coast Hospital for treatment and was last reported to be in stable condition, according to Fort Bragg Police Commander John McLaughlin.
Police are not releasing the names of those involved or additional details while the investigation is ongoing and to protect the privacy of both parties.
