Evacuation Order: Fire in Redwood Valley

1:02 p.m. Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office has asked Redwood Valley residents to safely evacuate now.
A wildfire that started in front of the Coyote Valley Casino is threatening other structures. The fire is being handled by the Redwood Valley - Calpella Volunteer Fire Department but a CAL FIRE engine and battalion chief are assisting.
Residents are urged to check with their neighbors and leave in the safest possible manner. The sheriff’s office requests that the public keep roads clear for emergency response vehicles.
1:15 p.m. forward motion has been halted, according to the Watch Duty app. The area of evacuation is Zone 3211-1782417827567 (shown below).
