Ceanothus, buckwheat or yarrow are great local native pollinator plants. Cotoneaster, pictured, is an invasive non-native.

I just learned that! Unfortunately, it was here when I bought the house. The bees do love, love, love, love, love it.

A great way to do this. Newspapers of record did it this way for decades, and people read those stories, probably more than they did in later times. The corporate era gave us the idea we had to blow one issue up or not write at all if there wasn't a mass interest. To come full circle, this could be done with AI now. People need to know what their electeds are doing and this gets it done.

AI is helpful, as long as it is paired with a human editor. And the city council coverage will always be a good basic training exercise for a new reporter. There were lots of longer stories to break out of the meeting, including an interview with Orsi.
